Hi,

My old xbox has given up, its a non-HDMi version, I have seen a HDMi console for sale with no leads/power supply/controllers etc. If I purchase this, is it simply a case of swapping the console and all the power leads/controllers etc. are compatible and just plug and play?

Thanks

Not sure but I think the newer HDMI console will require a different power supply, as the different mobos have different power requirement.

If it has no cables that sounds very dodgy and I would take a guess that it's been nicked.

Or alternatively it's an RRoD repair and the seller is offloading the parts seprately to buy a new machine. Which then raises other issues

Old console has a 205W supply, the new console has a 175W supply, the 2 cables are different and don't fit in different consoles.

£149 for an arcade console with some games is your best bet, then just plop your own HDD on top.

Sell the games if you don't want them, should be around £100 for a new console if you manage to sell the games.
