I wonder what sort of bandwidth you'll need to track the position of 256 players. I'd wager my crappy ADSL connection won't be up to the job!

I don't really think bandwidth is the issue generally. It's more one of latency. And if you have a BT setup like mine you're just fecked laugh

Shut your gob, Take it elsewhere. I have had enough of all this rubbish. I don't even care if you were 'having a joke' - its not funny.

M.A.G is looking very nice, I like the idea of leading my own little team of online dudes, be it a squad of 8, 32, or 128.

I will take a look at mag reviews before I buy it though, there are a lot of other games that look promising, I don't want to spend tonnes.

We all know what happens when 1 or 2 people have crappy connections on a game of COD. what is it going to be like when there are 25 of them?

Thing is, 250ms latency between the UK and US is pretty normal even on decent connections all round - .25 of a second is enough to ruin a game with the old "I'm sure I shot first" thing. Imagine that x256 players?

I don't recall any PC games that have tried to go that high, I think 128 is the most I've seen, so what makes Sony think the PS3 can cope? I'd guess it's just a headline figure and they don't actually care if it will work.
