cheers guys, good advice. will send it off tomorrow, I presume I need to phone UPS and arrange a pick up yeah??
You can fill in an e-mail form for UPS delivery too (details of how to pack the XBox and arrange pick-up should have been e-mailed to you).I specified a window of 2-3PM, with the usual pessimistic thought that they'd turn up any time of the day they wanted.
2:01PM, UPS man at door. Bloody fantastic service. My delight was slightly curtailed by his comment 'another XBox? Yeah, we get loads of these every week!'.
Must have been a PS3 owner.

I'm gonna use the one i had when it was sent back to me 6 momnths ago after being fixed for the second time....i could understand it failing if i played everyday but us oldies just don't get time and no the kids rarely use it so i'd say its never more than an hour you average it out and its in a well ventalated area pretty s
t really but far better than a ps3!
Oh well yet another 2 weeks without it

you could send it in a plastic tub with stones as protection, as it doesnt matter, the one you get back wont be the one you sent away!! If you still have the receipt take it to the store you bought it from and say microsoft told you to say code red and they will replace it for a brand new one!!
