Anybody returned a RROD Xbox using UPS???

Just got an e-mail from them with my return label etc but they have not told me how to package the xbox?
Do I need to buy a proper mailing box or send it in my original packaging?

Any help appreciated

Dont send it in any box that shows it's an XBOX, that instruction is on the form you got. I sent mine back in an old wine bottle box, with some packing foam.

i just used an old cardboard box and scrunched up an old newspaper to package it, anything will probably be fine

all the times mines been back (for RROD) it has been packaged that way

I sent mine the other day in a scabby brown box, wrapped the xbox in newspaper then cling filmed the box

Got there ok and is on the way back to me as we speak!

You can fill in an e-mail form for UPS delivery too (details of how to pack the XBox and arrange pick-up should have been e-mailed to you).

I specified a window of 2-3PM, with the usual pessimistic thought that they'd turn up any time of the day they wanted.

2:01PM, UPS man at door. Bloody fantastic service. My delight was slightly curtailed by his comment 'another XBox? Yeah, we get loads of these every week!'.

Must have been a PS3 owner.

I sent mine in the original xbox box that it came in, wrapped in brown paper of course. I was a little disapointed when it didnt come back in it and I now dont have a box! Should have realised

I'm gonna use the one i had when it was sent back to me 6 momnths ago after being fixed for the second time....i could understand it failing if i played everyday but us oldies just don't get time and no the kids rarely use it so i'd say its never more than an hour you average it out and its in a well ventalated area pretty st really but far better than a ps3!

Oh well yet another 2 weeks without it

you could send it in a plastic tub with stones as protection, as it doesnt matter, the one you get back wont be the one you sent away!! If you still have the receipt take it to the store you bought it from and say microsoft told you to say code red and they will replace it for a brand new one!!
