So, it's finally happened to me...

My xbox 360 (launch console) in the livingroom has given up the ghost.

No error codes, no lights, it just wont connect to xbox live.

It has been causing problems for the past few days for not connecting to xbox live, my other console in the bedroom (60GB console) connects fine.

I have tried....

Signing in with different xbox live profiles, carrying the xbox from the bedroom through to the livingroom then using the same cables try to connect, and the bedroom console connects fine with the livingroom consoles cables.

Wiggling the network cable used to work, but now it doesn't, I think the internal network connection inside the xbox must be broken. No error codes is a bit puzzling though.

Anyone on PH had this sort of problem before??

It does sound liket he network card, do you know anyone you could borrow a wireless card from?
Check the XBox website to see if there are any known issues it.

I have been having minor issues with my XBox disconnecting from Live over the last few months. I wondered whether or not it could be my wireless adaptor arsing around too. However, I have only had the wireless jobby for about 9 months and the XBox is an Elite which is just shy of two years old.

Will just have to see how it goes I guess.

I suppose thats just an excuse to buy an elite, everything else in the living room is black.

I think I'll chip the knackered one and use it as an offline only machine for my 'backup' games I will acquire.
