Has anyone else got Supercar Challenge?
Discussion
Yeah got the game yesterday when it came out, at last, there's been a few weeks delay due to copyright issues (they had to remove the Lambos from the front cover and in the game), so some stores and online sites have struggled to get the revised copies in time. So there are still many gamers without it.
Its must be pointed out its a hardcore sim, the the most realistic (and therefore far too difficult for many) racing sim on the PS3. Its also plays better than the Beta trials as theres been further improvements. It has to be played with a wheel (I use a G25) and on simulation mode with nearly all the assists off to be appreciated. The assists just ruin the game if you ask me. Play it like this and get use to the feel of all the different cars and its awesome with a wheel. Its difficult of course, but you have to stick with it and tip toe around.
Don't be a nob like a mate of mine who put it back in the box yesterday after 5 minutes after only using a pad (and he has a wheel too although it wasn't setup). I suppose some people just want simple arcade style racers (like Grid) and nothing else.
Graphics arn't on par with say GT5P, but are certainly a big improvement on the previous FC, sounds are awesome although you do need to play around with the sound settings for your preference. But this game is all about realistic handling and how difficult they are to control with so much power.
Had a great time driving and racing around Silverstone in the heavy rain using the Zonda F, sim mode, all assists off accept ABS on 1, full manual gears and cockpit view. A challenge to say the last but rewarding once your not crashing!

Doubt I will be getting this before it hits the bargain bins as I tried the demo and it didn't go well at all. I don't have any plans getting a steering wheel due to cost of the wheel itself and lack of a suitable mount and it would appear this is needed to get the best out of the game.
