It has an RRP of about £55 and some places are bumping that up. It's the producers being tts, so I've heard.

Oh I see, I've found it for £45 so far... Looking to get it for £40 or so (cheapskate!).

Still think £40 is a bit steep personally and will be waiting a few weeks/months to see what happens.

Don't get me wrong, if I can get it cheaper then I will be happy, BUT for once I want to have a game when it comes out so I am getting used to new maps the same as everyone else and I stand a half decent chance of winning...

Oh, my family also hail from Yorkshire originally.....

Is HMV the only place to release the £120 Prestige pack? Heard a rumour last night that other places may be selling them for £100...anyone else heard this and know where?

If you're spending £120 on any game, particularly with bundled fisher price night vision goggles, you're a mug.

They already know it'll be the fastest selling game in history, so making it £55 seems like profiteering to me. For MW2 I'm lucky as I'm not going to be able to play it until 2010. I'll buy it second hand then for no more than £30 and play catch up!

Hehe but they say that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree wink

I guess they are just trying to push up the point at which the price becomes acceptable to the majority? Maybe they look at Normal distributions etc etc?

Everyone has a price I know, but it would be nice if everyone said £35-40 was their limit for this game. It's only an FPS afterall!

The other thing to mention, although slightly o/t, is that I got a message from a CoD4 random player last night urging me to boycott CoD6 as apparently there is an exclusive xbox-only DLC deal been done..

Wrong i'm afraid, as according to most reports, the UK release will be after the US release as usual, so in actual fact, you'll be playing another Call of Duty game against thousands of whiny 12 year old Americans who have already had the game for a week or two. I buy new games upon release for the same reasons though, so I know what you mean.

People are being told to set their COD4 clan tags to 'MW2' as a protest at the news that XBOX is getting exclusive map packs. I had a look at it and it turns out the map packs are being released initially for XBOX, with the PS3 ones being released sometime after. Its a shame, but we will get them in the end, and I wonder how much Microsoft had to pay for the privelege?

Might also help if you mentioned where you got it from?

Amazon, but they do that best price thing, so despite me pre-ordering it at £35 - at some point they had the price right down, so that's the price I get it at. The reason I didn't mention it is due to the fact that it's not avaliable at that price on Amazon anymore.

I'm wondering if this is the case or if its because of the complete b*ll**ks c*ck-*p utter rubbish trying to get the 'free' maps upgraded for MW on the 360, the 'alledged' codes are unavailable due to 'supply' issues at microshaft, so you PS guys will still probably get them before we do frown
