GT5 or Forza 3

I'm thinking about getting one of these two, but I'm having difficulty in deciding which one.

The most important aspect to me is realism, so it must be as much of a simulation as possible, I drive on a lot of the PC sims but I want something that has more roadcars than most PC sims can offer.

I will be buying the console based upon which game/sim I go for and because I already have a G25 I am swayed a little towards the PS3. (That and the Blue Ray player).

I have been following the development of GT5 for a while and I used to drive GT4 quite a lot, however I have been very impressed with what I have heard about the handling model in Forza.

So I need some advice from people who have played the demos please.

Forza will win because there are more people on PH who have an Xbox. It won't tell you which is better. Read reviews. PH isn't the place to choose.

I'm hoping some people will give me an insight into the features that make one better than the other, also there are some people on PH who will have tried both and can give unbiased reviews.

I would argue that PH is a good place to ask because we are all into cars and therefore more likely to know what is a good simulation.

As I can't vote for both I can't vote. as I will have both as they are both bloody good for games.

I do say "games" as so many people must make sure they have the best graphics on he car, setup etc..

Out of the two and based on the fact you are buying the console aswell, I'd choose the ps3 and GT5.
I've got both the ps3 and xbox360 and will get both games as I've always liked the GT series of games and Forza 2 was brilliant. I wasn't impressed with GT5 prologue, however I'm hoping the full game will be amazing after the amount of delays.
After having both consoles for a couple of years, if I were to only have one it would be the ps3.

Since neither game is actually available to buy, and no-one on this forum is likely to have played either game, this is all pretty much pointless.

Given how much of a let down GT4 was I wouldn't give too much weight to any talk of how good GT5 is going to be, I'd wait till it's out then decide.

In the meantime you can likely have been playing Forza 3 for several months before GT5 even comes out.

For me as long as GT5 doesn't turn out to be ste that's where my money is going simply because I can use my Logitech G25 with the PS3. Driving games with a joy pad are crap!

I hope to get both, but if only allowed one, it will be GT5 as long as still has the TG track.

I've got both on preorder, I'm sure they will be very similar but somehow they will offer a different experience.

If you are basing your console decision on a game then I think it has to be the 360.

Personally I thought that GT5 Prologue was absolute rubbish, I just can't understand how anyone that has driven a real car can enjoy that. And I'm not bagging the PS3, I have Dirt and Grid on it and they are great. (although supposedly smoother on the 360)

There is some promo stuff about Forza 3, has some Le Mans driver heavily involved and the dedication to detail was very impressive.

GT5 Prologue was awful and GT5 may be a good game but it's downfall is that it is on the PS3.

I can see no problems with it being on there.
