I wouldn't bother, if anything it will make it worse as you will be expecting it to be like the game. It is I guess but also it's nothing like it if that makes sense?

I kept trying to relate it to the game and some of the corners came up bloody quick...

I would just buy a few laps and just use your memory from the laps you just did it will be much better.

I think it will help as I seem to have a memory like a goldfish these days. Doing a few laps before I get there can't hurt.

Getting an idea of the track is not a bad idea.

I remember my first lap on GT4, having never seen any videos or pictures before. My steed was an E60 M5, it was the final race of a 6 race championship, and I had to win.

By the 'Döttinger Höhe' straight I was soaked with sweat and competely exhausted! And came 2nd...

I was in a similar stat after the Merc licence test in GT4. Heart in your mouth stuff.
