IL-2 Sturmovik help needed - Xbox 360

Is anybody else stuck on the final campaign mission in the Battle of Stalingrad? I cannot pass it, no matter how many transports I shoot down. I keep an eye on the tactical map and go for the ones closest to me, but every time I fail because some transport planes get through. Only my latest attempt, I shot down 28 transports and still failed. Any ideas?

I used the map to make sure I went for the closest group first, then moved onto the next closest and so on, otherwise you can wast time taking overly long routes between groups.

I tend to fly straight at them and take out 2-3, then I cirle round and fly in from there 7 oclock, back off the thottle and just gun them all down at low speed, 2 passes like this should deal with all of them. Basically it's all about a slow fly past.

Then move onto the next group. I failed the first time but passed easy second time when I did this.
