PSP, old one or new one?

After seeing an ad for GT on the PSP last night I have to get one today (I'm using the 2hrs a day commuting as justification!) I have the option to buy an older style one of my brother for not much at all, or, to go out and spend £200 on the new Go.
I realise there are no significant technical differences so is there anything else which should steer the decision?

You realise that with the Go you're paying £50 less than a PS3 for something with the capabilities of the PS2 and yet is about £100 more expensive than the original PSP simply because it's smaller?
If you want to be restricted to a lifetime of buying your games directly from Sony at whatever prices they should deem then get the Go!
If you want the option to actually own a physical medium when you buy games (or if you want to ever run *cough* 'homebrew' *cough) then get the original

What apart from the much much smaller screen and as previously stated being stuck buying directly from Sony? (PSP UMD games are pretty cheap on ebay 
)PSP3000 is a much better prospect, by a pre-owned from Game with a few games and you will pay much less that the cost of the new "musthaveversion" and you will be laughing at those small screened PSPgo owners
I also read on AVForums that the games from PSN are actually more expensive (how does that work with no physical medium? No doubt they'll blame 'bandwidth') and not only that, but it took many of them around 3 hours to download GT!
Oh, and they didn't seem too happy when the PSN store went down all day shortly after launch meaning they couldn't actually buy any games.
I was actually shocked to learn that the Go! had an actual RRP of £225. How the hell do they justify nearly PS3 prices for 10 year old tech on hardware that's actually a step back from the original PSP!

Here's an idea - get a PSP-300 and UMDs, then hit up ebay, and buy a Game Boy Micro. £30 (less now) for that an Mario Kart. I think it's battery is made of magic or something, I've never had to recharge mine.

the whole problem I have with the Go is the lack of UMD. Granted, it is a bit of a pain to carry all the games around but at least you can trade them if you get bored. The downloading of games means that the 2nd hand market is screwed and the games are even the same price. (Bitter experience of downloading Socom has coloured my view of downloading games as I can't get any trade in value from that crock of crap.)I must admit my jaw dropped when I saw the price.

I read a review somewhere that mentioned that due to the new layout of the main buttons your hands get cramp after playing for short periods. They are now positioned too close together.
I also saw in a sneak peek video that the Go is aimed at different type of person, and that they are aiming to sell the Go along side the 3000. Apparently Sony are going to bring out a PSP-4000.

Found out yesterday as friend has a 3000 just sat at home that he doesn't use. Going to borrow that and buy the game with a view to having it off him.
FWIW, saw a PS3 Slim for £219.99 @ Sainsburys on the condition you bought a top ten game. Made the £200 for the PSP Go seem ridiculous.

I'm one of those who sold his PSP in the belief that GT would never appear.
So had to buy another - just got a refurbed PSP (1003) from Game for £70.
Got back into buying a few games - get them second hand for £5-£10. Now I'm enjoying playing GT, Ridge Racer (how much fun was that game!??!), and I'd forgotten how good the PSP was for video playback - it just seems so much slicker/better than the iPod Touch.
Sony really have shot themselves in the foot with the PSP Go. Adding 16gig and bluetooth justifies a doubling of the price? What planet do they live on??? Idiots.
