Recommend me a PS3 racer

I'm sick of waiting for GT5 to arrive. There is only so many times I can play Prologue before I'm bored and I've tried Race Driver Grid and didn't like it.

Can anyone recommend a racing game for the PS3 that can fill the void whilst waiting for GT5. I prefer realism to arcade and have heard NFS: Shift is pretty pants.

I'm in the same boat.....the short answer is, there's nothing!

I's say the (now very old)Sony F1 game is the next best to GT5P, but it is still a long way behind, and the graphics vibration effect is pretty horrible to endure.

Dirt 2? or maybe superstars v8 racing? obscure but getting good feedback on amazon(not played it myself).
