What the hell? (Forza 3)

Have been playing on this at the weekend and have discovered at least three cars that you have to pay for (with real cash) already. The games has only been out for a week and the cars that require you to buy more are the gt3 rs, f430 scud and gallardo super whatyoucallit (probably more too). Shocking, at least hide them for a month, show an update and then shaft me for more cash.

They're part of the limited edition downloadable content, there's also a Corvette ZR1 and an Aston DBS, there are others but can't remember them off the top of my head.

They're cars from the LCE version that you'd get if you'd bought it. Seems they're offering them to people who really want them.

I can't actually work out what type I bought, it says nothing about being limited edition, but I got all the downloadable content for free... Hmm.

Unless the boxes are all the same?

Well poop me on a stick, a LCE with actual useful content! Damn it, will have to wait and buy the pack when it is available then :S

If it came in a snazzy box and had a USB memory stick and a keyring then you've got the limited edition, otherwise you haven't.

You will be waiting a long time if you are expecting to just buy the LCE car pack later. No one has said they will be available later, it is only people hoping on the forums.
One way may be if you win a Turn 10 competition (they run quite a few) and the price is a car of your choice. They will be the only ones able to gift you one of those cars (they cant be sold of gifted by users).

There were literally hundreds of threads about this very point, and the consensus was if you want those cars specifically, buy the LCE from the outset.
It was only 40 quid from Blockbusters pre order anyway.

Yes, I was one of these people that went for the standard version, but in all honesty, It's only a few extra. If they become available to d/l, then great. If not, there will be some great stuff in future DLC packs anyway. I'm enjoying my Impreza and R8 at the moment anyway
