So i understand that the basics for a drift car are:
There is a drifting thread, so how about a thread for those of us who dont want to travel everywhere sideways, all of the time.

I got the basic settings for sorting a drift car from the drifting thread:

Soft Springs and
Rebound stiffness
Stiff strut braces
Lower ride height

Front wheels:
Negative Caster
Negative Camber

Couls anyone help me with a similar kind of list for the basic settings to start messing with to get a good racing set up.

At the moment its specifically my Fiesta. ST engine and RWD. I know its short wheel base and that in itself is a problem but no matter how carefull i am with throttle the back end just comes round.

I was more hoping for a basic benchmark that i could work from

What class?...

That's a lot of power for not very much weight... Slicks, Forza Aero set to Max and Wider Tires?...

I am very much a begineer with tunes, but I tend to play arround most with the camber, spring rates and damping settings.
On the bumpy tracks I run soft suspension and damping, with a litle less neg camber, say -1.0, trying to make sure I really just keep the car on terra firma as much as pos. high down force levels too if you have em

On the smooth tight twisty stuff I run a bit more neg camber, and stiffen the car up, I tryto avoid going crazy with the stiffness of the arb settings, esp on FWD cars, as I want to keep as high as pos corner speed, and I find that with swb cars, they become really twitchy with too stiff settings.

The tracks I struggle with are the open fast stuff, such as road america, I cannot get the balance right between out right speed and losing time in the fast sweepers.

To be honest at present I am only really tuning F, E and the occasional D class car.

I am sure that there is tons I can learn
