Modern Warfare 2 - The Museum - what's the point?
Discussion
I've just finished the campaign, sat through the credits and then went to see what finishing the game might have earned me.
"Museum".
As far as I can see, it's just an excuse to try out all the weapons and shoot everyone without being shot at in return. And when you've killed everyone in the room, you leave the room, come back in an they're all "alive" again, ready to be gunned down all over again. I must have mucked about on this for twenty minutes until I got bored.
Am I missing something?

Because I got to the end of the game?
Oh right, I don't see much point in playing the single player bit - well, except the other night when the servers were down !! It basically seems to be the same as all other games of this type in that respect, you run as fast as you can shooting at everything until you make the next checkpoint... I would prefer if it was a bit more realistic with a limited opposition etc.Jasandjules said:

I played the Favella part of the game and I shot maybe 30-40 enemies whilst I sat behind a wall for a good 10 minutes. They just kept on coming. Same as three blokes on a particular roof - I kept shooting them, they kept coming back?!?!?!
You have to move on with the mission to trigger events. If you sit still then the enemy will simply respawn and the mission won't progress.Scraggles said:
not good that the servers were down, as the only servers are those supplied by the company, there will come a time when u have to pay more money to use the game u have paid or no access to the servers....
The COD4 servers are still up after 2 years so I'm not too concerned.Tycho said:

Saturday I sat down to do "a bit more" on my campaign at about 11am. Didnt look at the clock again until 5pm which how long it took me to complete it - on regular or whatever it is.
Veteran.....sheeesh. My f
king thumbs simply wont operate that quick, even if my brain could. I was exhausted, hungry and stank of B.O.

On veteran COD games just becomes a game of blind luck as you wade through hails of bullets. I like games to be a challenge.. but there's a difference between a challenge and the tedium of move-die, move-in-a-different-direction-die... .repeat umpteen times until new point of cover reached. start again oh-wait-I-have-six-grenades-to-deal-with..run back to where I was previously-die. etc etc.

COD4 had infinitely respawning enemies till you passed the checkpoints, MW2 doesn't.
