I realise that I'm clearly being dense here as lots of people have created some extremely impressive stuff in FM3. But I'm finding it really difficult.
I thought, I'll start small. A local Dubai number plate.
So I went into paint mode, went to the rear bumper and drew a rectangle. Then realised that, even zoomed in as close as it will go, I can't see clearly enough to do what I want do to.
I then though, why don't I create a vinyl group away from the car and then import it? But realised I don't have any reference to get the right shape ratio.
Now I'm stuck. How do I get the reference of the shape of the car but still be able to see clearly enough to get the details right?

Trying rear plates is a pain because they are always in shadows, either do it on the side or roof and then transfer it, or use the logo creator which gives you a blank canvas, then just resize to fit.

+1 thats what i do with all my detailed stuff. make it all on the roof or in the editor. then just resize it to fit where/what i want.
