I was unaware of people having problems, but now you mention...mine has been crashing since i rented mw2, and it didn't before that!

Is that the problem people are having?

It freezes every time I actually get into a game.

Then other times, the load bar gets 50% of the way across, then freezes my PS3 again - this also forces me to re-boot my hardrive making me lose all my saves...

Every other game works fine....

Mine is fked online, gets into games but horrid glitches and screen tearing make it unplayable.

Freezes at the end of a multiplayer game. After rebooting, it won't start giving error 80010514.

That link gives a fix (getting into the console menu and choosing "restore file system" ) but it doesn't stop it happening again.

I'l buy another one nearer the time (xmas 2011). And besides, I am more of a fps man. It sickens me how good I was at cs:s and cod4 on pc, and how bad I am on the ps3 lol

My mates 80gig got the YLOD monday night... He lived on MW2 though, was passed prestige. Mw seems to be blowing alot of ps3s.

My 60gig launch day console still going strong..But not been on mw2 for over a week.

My console (launch version, 80gb) is playing up too after installing the recent upgrade on Friday last week.
It's only frozen up twice but both times online during MW2. Once at load up screen and once during gameplay. Very strange as it's never happened before.

I was actually more annoyed at having to download the full PS3 software again (takes 60mins on my lousy connection) just to get Polish Language, like it's something you suddenly need after 2 years of console use in the UK but extra annoyed now it looks like it's stuffed my system.

I have moved mine to back where it was as i suspect that my particular issue might just be overheating, i will see if it happens again.

Bound to be something to do with the fact the PS3 version doesn’t install to the HDD and in fact is read from the disc every time its played.
I just cannot fathom the choices IW have made in this game. First of all stuff like that, and then the PC fk ups too, my mate said he was on a server that had people advertising hacks because you cannot have admin without dedicated servers.

After the EPIC success of the first game, what on gods earth are doing this to the new one for? It was a formula that DID not need to be tinkered with AT ALL. Idiots.

I agree, Tis the reason why i don't particularly enjoy this game.

Yeah the pc version is stupid. Everyone has headshot aim bots. Watched a mate on it the other day. Ridiculous.. It's all over youtube if anyone is interested in seeing how it ruins the pc version.. People getting headshots from other side of maps with pistols etc

My ps3-slim seems fine, although the game seems a bit buggy sometimes when it has connection problems during loading the map, usually needs a power cycle to fix it, but that's quite rare.
