Forza add on content scratch and sniff card

I got a new copy of FM3 that came with the game add on content card with a scratch off code. I don't seem to be able to redeem it, do I need a gold account or can I do this with a silver one?

Needs to be a gold membership matey, you should've got a free month when you first got the box online.

You definately redeeming it in 'redeem code' and not 'add microsoft points'... if you're trying the latter then it wont work.
