The kids got a couple of Wii driving games for Xmas (F1 plus some other rubbish one) but they are completely impossible to play as the steering is not sensitive enough.

For example, when going down a straight in F1 and trying to gently move across the track, using gentle steering input does nothing at all, so turn a bit more, nothing, a bit more, nothing, a bit more and wham, you shoot across the track and onto the grass.

Is this normal? Does it sound like the Wii remote is knackered perhaps (it's pretty old)? Can the gyro's inside the Wii remote wear out?

Or are we all just rubbish Wii drivers smile

Its ok for arcade driving games like Mario Kart but I wouldn't touch it for a more realistic one. Plus F1 on Wii is possible one of the worst ever

ferrari challenge isn't to bad on the wii, but if you want proper racing games you need a different console.

Yeah I played F1 a couple of days ago too.
And yep its completely useless on the Wii. No idea why they chose to bring it out on the wii first, they should have skipped the wii altogether.

Is about the best, and Dirt 2, Mario kart is fantastic and works perfectly with the Wiimote and wheel, if its driving games you're after you'd better look elsewhere, as apart from the ones mentioned they are cack smile
