Xbox Forza Package

Is the xbox that comes with the forza package branded as a forza edition or just a standard elite? I'm looking to buy an xbox (waiting until I've finished my exams at the end of January though to save my degree ) and MW2 and Forza with 2 control pads (wireless if possible), and just looking at the deals, it seems cheaper to get the Forza box edition with 250GB HD, forza and 2 wireless controllers (£229) and then add MW2 to it than it does to buy them all seperately with the 120GB elite plus forza and another game I don't really want for £199....

I've been checking an xbox deals website for these deals which are both from amazon, does anyone know anywhere else that might be cheaper now or any time before the 29th January?

Or if you're fussy about cars (like me), the Limited Edition gives you more cars (such as GT3 RS). On sale at GAME £32 here

I bought the Forza 3 Super Elite pack when it was launched.

It’s the same as a regular 360 Elite, but with a 250 Gig hard drive in place of the Elite’s 120.

Much nicer than the MW2 pack, as that one comes with silly graphics all over the console and will date horribly.

Like that, yes, thanks, but that's MW, not MW2 I'd ideally like Forza special edition but I could probably live without it, there's plenty of other cars to have fun with.

Thanks, that was the info I was after. I wasn't sure whether it was forza branded in which case it would have been out the door. I agree with you on the MW2 pack! I'm not bothered about the extra HD size but it just sounds like the Forza pack with MW2 will give me everything I need for £260ish and I can't beat that anywhere else that I can find....

Think carefully before you say you can live with out the extra cars in the LCE.
ALOT of people on forums moan that they wished they had bought the LCE version. Remember you get free cars gifted to you throughout the year from Turn10 as well, and your auctions appear at the top (crucial if you intend selling on the Auction House as non VIP cars hardly ever get seen).

Arr... sorry. Didn't realise it's only MW1. I bought similar package in Nov/Dec and it came with Forza3 and MW2. Obviously they've changed it... cheeky git.

Also agree with TheJackal. I bought the Ltd Ed and sold my normal Forza to my local cex.co.uk shop, and got £27 for it, but that was Nov/Dec though.

Hmmmm. Makes it more expensive though because that means Elite at £199 + Forza LE + MW2 + Extra controller.....

Depends how serious about Forza you will be.
Also you have missed the best deals now christmas is over.
A friend got an Elite with 2 controllers and 4 games for £199. You could have sold the games and just bought MW2 and Forza3 LCE.

Also HMV do the Elite for £170 and I think Tec7 may be doing it for even less.
There are loads of other deals if you look on any of the deals sites.

To be honest, I probably would get annoyed at not having the LE version I'll just keep an eye on the deals between now and the end of January when my exams finish and see what happens, Play are doing an elite + MW2 for £199 which doesn't sound too bad and would allow me to buy the LE version of Forza

Beware the price for Ltd Ed goes up and down. Cheapest I ever saw was £29 but that was a while ago.

game.co.uk is selling at £32 now.

It can be as high as £54 (when I bought it).

Done it Exams finish on Friday, then heading home to Cornwall for a week off where I will find an 360 elite, MW2, Forza 3 LE (both games for £67 from thehut ), 2 controllers, an HDMI cable and a very long ethernet cable Can't wait
