Xbox 360 help with present for a 4 year old boy

Fellow PH'ers my lad is 4 this month and loves Lego Batman for Xbox 360. I have been looking at the other Lego games and there seems to be quite a few variations on the Lego genre, can anyone recommend one for me?

indiana jones and indiana jones 2. Miles better than batman I reckon so I've heard

I haven't played Batman, however I thought the Star Wars ones were far better than Indiana Jones. IMO.

Aye, the Star Wars ones are excellent. I thought Batman was the weakest of the lot (albeit still good fun). Not tried Indy 2 yet though.

There's a chap on here that works for Travellers Tales - can't remember who it is though.

Ahh thats different to Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy then? Thats the bit I find confusing as I would have thought this later game was better.

I thought Lego Batman was OK ish, my lad is obsessed with the bloody thing!

Contrary to the other posters, I loathe and detest Lego Star Wars.

Passionately.

Don't ask me why. I'd rather eat my own feet than play it.

Naturally, my 4 year old loves it.

He's also got Lego Indy. That's a breath of fresh air compared to Star Toss.

I've even caught myself playing Indy when the Boy's in bed....

The Complete Saga is basically The Original Trilogy + The "New" Trilogy, Episodes 1-3 being added to it, but the new stuff is basically a remade version of the earlier Xbox and PS2 release.

All episodes basically on one disk.

I'd probably avoid buying my 4 yr old something for the Xbox as it only encourages them to sit in front of the TV all day - plenty time for that when theyre older.

My problem is that I am trying to finish our house off (new build) and he is at home with me a fair bit as it's my full time job. So its either xbox or having him "assist" with the painting in the rooms I am working on at the moment. I agree with the sentiment however and will limit his hours with the games.

Just got the recommended games Indy/Star Wars, and Kung Fu Panda was thrown in of which I am not expecting great things. Thanks for the help, and if anyone can recommend a light saber let me know!

Exactly... I wasn't allowed to watch TV during weekdays when I was a kid - except for educational programmes.

The parents set the rules, not the Xbox.

Anyway, Batman was ok, Star War was fun, not sure about the others.
