playing in calendar mode and these World Championship races you have to do every 2 weeks. Is there a way to get it to stop repeating the R1 class championship?
this it the 3rd time now. I hate R1 cars, I just hire a driver to do the race whilst I have a cup of tea. but I'd rather being doing other races than repeating the same ones again and again. Especially annoying because I haven't done the Class D or Class B WC.

Instead of going into Season Play try Event List, you get to pick which races you do and when. It's a bit more like Forza 2, a setup which I really enjoyed. I didn't get on too much with Season play so just went to the Events.

I thought about doing that but there appears to be an achievement for completeing season play. And I also like the random order it offers you new races. I guess I'll just have to suffer it.

Don't bother using the season part after you pass season 6 as this is the last one, from then on you should just use the event list, I went through and did some of season 7 but got bored.

i've done the forst 2 blocks of races, and all drag races, event list is the way to go that way you can pick and choose.

+1

I'm on 67%.

Still haven't done the 100,000 drift though.

i'm 74% of the way through now, but all the races are either long and boring or long and boring!

And yes, I meant to put that twice!

I reckon it will take another fortnight to a month to complete. Only done one of the endurance races to date, not looking forward to the rest of them.

Still, 1000/1000 after this torture lol!

It took me ages, over a year, to complete F2. I just got bored once I'd got all the cars I wanted. At least in 3 some cars are mega expensive so require a bit more work to afford.

I enjoy the endurance races. My tires usually "go off" long before I'm out of fuel. So one has to adjust ones driving style to get more milage out of them.

I need help getting the 100,000 drift point.

I need to get this, '100% Gold' & 'one car from each brand' then I'm done.

With M$ wheel it's very difficult cos it's hard to turn and press the handbrake button at the same time.

I may have to try pad. frown

I have trouble with the drift lap achievement too.
Really annoys me when people who hardly play the game even say "yeah I got that easy first try"
Anyone got a replay of them doing it? I either drift too much and spin or not enough and the points dont rack up. I dont want to drift afterwards just get this bloody achievement lol

I used a 4wd car. A focus RS with a twin turbo V8 and all the mods. That way you could just tug the handbrake and floor the throttle.

I'd tried lots of times with RWD, but like you span out lots and the best I could manage was about 90,000.

I don't play Fujimi Kaido enough to know if I'm on pace to get 100,000 pts. Usually I get the damn 'little triangle' after a couple minutes anyway.

I'm with you, I just want to get the achievement so I can complete the game 100% and forget about it.

What car are you using? I have't 'built' a drift car as such.... but looks like I'll have to get a 200SX or whatever...

As long as you have hit the 50-60k point by the peak, you should do 100k easy. I did it using an AE86 with some obscure drift tune downloaded from the marketplace and it took a good few goes to nail it.

The key is getting over 50k before you hit the top, downhill for the rest of it you can hold massive drifts on, and rack the points pretty easily.

I had a X5 that would do daft drifts but you need a big wide track to get the most out of it, managed to top 20k per drift on one of the tiny test track courses, but finished the lap with about 60k rather than the 100k, which was why I moved to Fujimi instead.

It took me ages to complete FM2 too, infact I only put my mind to completing it about three months before FM3 came out, but here we are - 3-4 months after FM3 has come out and I'm not a kick in the backside off completing it (well, in gamerscore terms anyway). The game doesn't have the staying power of FM2. FM2 was pretty much a better game than FM3 in every single area other than graphics, and even then - FM2's graphics aren't too shabby at all...

Maybe I'm just a better games player than I was this time last year!!!

To get the drift achivement I just used a stupid high power RWD car and after every corner unless you have scored 2-3k drift points then use the rewind button, eventually you will get used to it.

Who cares if it is 'cheating' by using the rewind button, I brought FM3 as a racing game not a drift game

In response to the OP - if you don't want the R1 season to re-appear you need to win all races in it. I've noticed that to get the 'tick' in event play you need to win all races in any given event.

Do you use the clutch? I find it easier to get the tail out from / just before the apex with the clutch than trying to go in sideways with the handbrake. You can use a car with good grip and low power that wont usually spin the tyres, you just "clutch it" mid corner and the back will step out but slowly rather than spinning you right round.

I'm no pro and i'm not sure i've explained that too well but hope it helps.

Digging this one up again. I've just got to the end of season 6, I'm wondering about the 80G achievement for "Achieve a gold trophy in every single race in the Event List in Season Play mode".

Does that mean you only get the achievement for getting every gold through Season Play, or would I still get it by racing in the Event List? The achievement is not that clear and badly worded really.

I think you have to win every race of every block in the EL. I'm doing it and I'm about halfway through. I'm doing it in order too, can't wait for the 10-lap Nurburgring races!
