Someone download the xbox demo that's just come out and tell me how it is.
Loved the first one with its destructible buildings. Made the war feel pretty warry.

I downloaded it straight after finding about it earlier and played for hours! At first I didnt like it. The control system seems awkward at first but I upped the sensitivity and after a while was used to it and doing well.
I really enjoyed it and was happy to see Im still good in the old helicopters lol. Was flying along for fun and saw a guy running along the ground so did a sweep down at full speed and killed him with the bottom of the chopper without touching the ground. Very Happy He must have been thinking WTF is this chopper doing flying straight for me at that height! Smile

Anyway after hours of the same map I got bored so put on MW2 and within minutes got pissed off again with the care package glitchers and lag switchers. GRRRRRRRRRR Im going to trade in MW2 for BC2 when it comes out.

It feels a little awkward at first but you soon get used to it and it's brilliant fun cool If you liked any previous BF game you'll love this.

All Battlefield Games do at first.

I always consider it due to the fact that you are controlling a bloke dressed in body armour karting around a rifle, a rocket launcher, grenades all sorts of other equipement... they are not the CoD style gymnasts and cat burglars.

I foind that the more you play the more realistic the BF games feel. They do severely punih new players, the inexperienced and the poorly skilled though.

I've resisted FPS console gaming for years now, BF2 on the PC was usually enough for me but my machine died and an XBox appeared at Christmas. I bought Battlefield 1943 the other day and was impressed with that but got the demo for Bad Company 2 tonight and am really impressed - so much going on and genuinely interesting surroundings that you could spend ages admiring if someone wasn't trying to kill you smile

I still can't quite get the hang of using a control pad but I'm looking forward to getting some more practice in.

It's a big old download though, that's me in trouble with my ISP this month, stupid 20GB limit.

Ah, I love it, it reminded me why I liked the first one. (I'm only saying this because I was MVP for my 2nd game)

I like the vehicles, and the big maps, and the destructible buildings. It's good times.

Oh man! I fking love this!!!

Note to Codemasters: This is how you do a military first person shooter!

fk its good, so very very good.

Loads of great moments so far, current favourites are geeting a doble kill by blowing out the front of a quad with a PKM and causing a huge crash. And a triple kill by blowing up a Bradley with the helicopter drone and a single rocket.

Oh and the A10's, that noise from the gattling gun is pure evil.

still undecided.. played it for a few hours. I found it was good but hard to actually do anything. maybe it was my poor connection tbh but every battle i got in i died. still managed to do well but that was purely from being sat on a sentry gun and totally destroying them!

Are you a COD veteran by any chance?

I have noticed that some people who really love COD tend to say that Battlefield ain't their cup of tea (from my group of friends, anyway). I actually prefer BF but play both. Saying that, been getting a bit bored of COD lately. BF for the win!! smile

The fact that it is different from COD, in my opinion, is a very good thing! I like the larger maps, vehicles etc so this game style suits me fine. Want to go home now and download the demo!

Played the demo last night. It takes some getting used to as it's much less 'arcadey' in feel than MW2, but after a couple of games (and getting seriously beaten) it is a really great game.

Running and gunning will get you nowhere. Nor will relying on speed and stabbing (thank god). It strikes me that teamwork is the key here, which will probably make it a bit more of an adult game than MW2 which is a seriously good thing IMO.

It feels much more like I'd imagine real war would. Lots going on and lots of noise!

I was playing the PC Beta last night. It feels like an updated Battlefield 2 - which a good thing.

Will be buying the full game.
