At long last my Logitech G25 is on route, no more playing with the keyboard! smile

Just had a go at downloading the BMW WTCC car file.

Downloaded the file and started a new file in C - Game Data - Vehicles - BMW WTCC

I have put a 83,000kb file in their but it is a PART.file whilst I note all the OEM are MAS.file

The cars arent in the game and I'm presuming it's got something to do with this issue. Help please

In my experience PART. files are usually a part downloaded file. Either it's in in two or more parts to download or you stopped/it stopped before it has downloaded fully. Then when you open one of the RAR or ZIPs it combines all of them to extract.

Firefox makes .PART files when downloading, so this is probably a broken download. Do you use Firefox?

Seems odd as above the 83,000k PART file is an empty winRAR archive file?!?

Just doing Bathurst track download now so will see how it goes...

Bathurst up and running no problem. Must of been a dodgy link.

Regards downloading the cars, do they come with setups, realistic handling, damageetc bespoke to the car downloaded or does wach downloaded vehicle run off the OEM setups?

For example is a Mini download nippy and spot on with flying round bends, whilst a TVR one is full on fast but dodgy in the bends?

firefox is fine, sounds like your download failed, that's all.

And yes, all the cars (supposidley) handle as they should.

Just been driving a Lupo Cup round Bathurst. God I love this game, really funny me playing it with the keyboard reminds me Amiga 1200 Grand Prix days before I got my joystick!!

Counting the days until me G25 arrives now.

Is there a way of choosing how many races you can have in a season? When choosing season it doesnt seem to show the amount of races in that season anywhere.

Dunno, never done an offline season. I've always just played online.

Season details are stored in the RFM file, change that and you won't be able to connect to a server running the mod because the RFM details won't match.

Don't want to change it just wondered what a season in rFactor consists of how many races, points, etc.

When you choose from testing/race weekend/race season and pick season there doesn't seem to be any season options ?

Open up the RFM (RFM folder) for the mod, use notepad to open it up, don't change anything but you will see what the season consists of. Only way I know.

If you don't have the tracks they will be missed out. SceneOrder refers to the specific track names.

Most mods use the default rFactor tracks.

Seems odd though that you can't just look at what races are in each season before starting in the single player game.

Not a modded series but one of the standard OEM season
