New Fallout game expected this Autumn. It is not a follow on from fallout 3 but a similar game set in Vegas I'd presume.

Not much information out about it at the moment mind. Trailer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7xME0aFbC4

I loved fallout 3 and still play it! I hope this is of the same standard as it could be excellent!

I just hope they sort the timeline out pissed me off about the 3rd one, its set 30 years after Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics yet no one has heard about supermutants and you find out that they were made in the DC area (when you discover all that in Fallout 1 that they were made in the LA area).

Although the dudes from Fallout 2 seem to back in it (the guy at the end)

Not sure if that robot is digging up the dead on putting them there...

Fallout 3 was SOOOOO slow to start off with until you get into it then you cant put it down.

The graphics give me a headache though.

The glitches and the crashes.......

But it is sooooooo worth it.... I do enjoy shooting poison darts and waiting for people to die.. Not to mention wearing a ghoul mask then going and sitting with the ghouls... Or planting a grenade in someone's pocket and then waiting for them to walk away, and go boom.......

To be fair re the timeline - it's a post apocalyptic world and you have no contact with the people from the LA area - bear in mind the last time we lived in a society like that the world was flat and ships were lost to the era's "Britains got Talent" contestants who used to lounge around on rocks...

I'm also very much looking forward to it, though I think Mass Effect 2 will keep me occupied till then (and then ME1+2 while I try and experience the exact opposite of this playthrough...)

RPG's have got to be the best value for money in games these days - between ME1+2, Dragon Age, and Fallout 3 I must have had 400hours plus for £40!

Anyone read the latest articel on IGN;

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/108/1086462p1.h...

Sounds like this could be pretty darn good!!!

Gun mods; Twice as many guns as in F3; More depth to companion intereaction; and Reputation - towns & groups react to you differenttly depending on your Karma!

Sounds like they've kept everything that made F3 brilliant.....and added to it!

Def one to keep an eye on.

fk no!

Fallout 3 was so atmospheric and involving. Bleak but brilliant.

It's a post nuclear war landscape, leave the colour to Saints Row, we dont want to looking like the crappy cartoon that was Borderlands.

Agree in that I don't want it to be cartoonish like borderlands, equally I don't mean anything like lush green fields aka Oblivion, but a bit more range even to the browns and greys would not do any harm, and if giant green mutants can evolve, why cant colourful mutant plantlife of some sort? - not in huge amounts but just something to break up the monotony of the fallout3 landscape... atmospheric or not it was incredibly dull.

i.e something like this:

Obviously I'm not expecting photo realism but look at the range of colours you can get in what is essentially just a pile of rocks.

Oh and please can guns be more effective... I got tired or loosing an entire clip of ammo into an ant for it still to bite my leg off. I don't mind being inaccurate at the start but if I do hit then at least credit me something for that.
