Game/Gamestation trade in prices

After waiting patiently for Gran Turismo 5 to come out for the PS3, I've finally grown sick of waiting and am off to purchase an Xbox 360 with Forza 3.

I have an old PS2 with 12 games and a Nintendo Game Cube with 7 games and 2 controllers which I'm most likely going to part exchange.

Has anyone either recently part exchanged either console or know of Game's pricing strategy regarding them?

In the past i found that CEX pays the most, followed by Gamestation. Game paid the least. Not sure if anything changed since.

Edit - bear in mind that old consoles/games aren't going to be worth much now...

Gamestation will match CEX trade on prices and beat them by £1, assuming there's a CEX in the same town.

Check trade in prices on the CEX website and take a print out into Gamestation with you.

What about a PS3 with Fifa10 and 4-5 middle of the road games ?

Getting fed up waiting on GT5 proper as well

Went into PCworld yesterday and they had a huge display of GT5 boxes saying released March 2010.

I think they may have had to many happy pills.

the joy i will have when GT5 comes out. 100+hrs in the first week easy.... don't give up on it man its going to be epic and all the xbox boys will be weeping in envy......

Buy Darksiders, just finished it, its pretty good warm up for Final fantasy out next week......

I didn't bother trading in the end. £10 for the Gamecube and games so I'm letting my sister have it for free instead. Oh and they don't accept the old style PS2's. Slimline's only.

Just to highlight the keyword.

When it does come out I'll flog the Xbox. I'm just sick of waiting and Forza will fill the void. There's only so much GT5 Prologue I can take.

I am a bit of a Playstation fanboy and Xbox owners probably won't agree with this but the 360 does seem a bit cheap and nasty by comparison.

I grew up with PlayStation too. Then got into Xbox, followed up by Xbox360, before ended up with a PS3.

Yes, 360 does look a bit cheaper (cheaply made); wouldn't say it's nasty though...

I am an Xbox owner, and I did agree with you when it was the old style PS3, the new one though looks gash and cheap and nasty IMO
