mw2 -How to start prestige....

Sorry if this is a silly question am not the best with gaming but since i treated myself to an x-box for crimbo some games are getting addictive....

Av just completed the first 70 ranks on mw2 - How do i now move onto this "prestige" levels?

were the list is,

create class
killstreek/emblem
barracks

cant rememberwhich one think its barracks you go into on the bottom of the list it will say prestige, just click it and yes

Been doing a little reading there seems to be alot of cheating with this game , carepacked etc - will these get fixed?

Probably not, but if you've got this far and not fallen folly to that type of behaviour then I doubt it'll cause any hinderance to your enjoyment of the game

Because it will wipe out every achievement - leaving you with the 'fun' and 'challenge' of doing it all again

I did it 6/7 times on CoD4, kind of interesting - but that's about it. (I had a lot more time back then!!) You don't get anything extra, it's purely your choice

You mean it'll wipe out all the "Challenges" as opposed to achievements... right?

And you gain at least 1 custom slot and don't you get extra killstreak unlocks?

^^ Yeah you get an extra custom slot every other Prestige level.

Oh and indeed it was good fun last night on there! Will have to get into a killing spree like that again soon!!

Extra custom slots would be very handy but its took me since x-mas to get the hang of the game / controls and decide what set up / guns i work best with maybe worth while holding back for the time being!


one more thing- Modded Controllers , whats the deal with this? why do they even make these...

Ok, didn't realise that - it was the same with CoD5 I think.

But come one, how many slots do you need. The more I play it, the less I need. 1 slot for sniping, 1 for all else

I use the custom slots to set up for whatever challenges I want to achieve and then alternate in game to suit...

1 Sniper
1 Anti Air
1 Gung-Ho
1 Trapper
1 Leveling Equipment
