Forza 3, old le mans, car help needed

Right,

I have the game, i have hardly played in career mode- just hot laps around the old le mans circuit. Managed to get in the top 6% using the peugot, and notice that all of the top times are set using the Toyota.
Is this because you can tune the car further than when you get it?

if so, does anyone have one they would like to gift me so i can get the time right down- assuming its a better car than the pug?

You can use the one from the arcade garaged if you go to free-run.

You can also apply bought tunes to these cars aswell.
