I just bought this game the other day for eight pounds from amazon and really enjoying it.
The graphics are a bit "old school" but it's great fun, the free roam maps are huge and it's quite a challenge to beat the ai even on easy.
anyone else bought it?

I bought it on release – I absolutely love it (in smallish doses). The handling is challenging and to be fast you've really got to master pinging the clutch out of corners. I find it quite therapeutic on the longer events and the scenery can be stunning. Definitely one of my most underrated games on the Xbox – and it is one of those increasingly rare games – it's got 4 player splitscreen!

I just read the review and watched the video on IGN. It looks uncannily like they've just used the ATV vs MX engine and assets. In the video, the trophy truck seems to look and handle just like the Rainbow Studios series. Is it different?

I haven't played that game, but I guess they would use the same physics.
Baja is quite refreshing as I haven't been encouraged to get stoked or narly dude at all.
