Quick question, just nabbed myself Forza3 and am loving it. Am playing Season mode and am halfway through 2nd season - manufacturer championships etc.

I am gifted quite a few cars as part of winnin races, which means I can play in the next set of races.

I've got about 300k credits, but I'm wondering whether anyone doesn't buy cars in season mode (practicing for PH multiplayer!) or whether I should splash out on the M5 and mods!

there is never enough money on forza 3... and the m5 is a pig wink but thats just my opinion.
I buy cars and regret it, there are lots that are worth it, but some that are disappointing. give it a bit more time and you will start winning more money in races.

I do buy a few but there is always a credit shortage, I'm sure you get an M5 as a prize car though so you don't need to buy one.

Don't bother buying one, you get it gifted after level 11...

There's a few cars I've got more than one of because I wanted different tunes/colours/styling and didn't want to keep having to change it up.

Never ever have more than a few thousand credits though.

I've not spent that much on new cars, got about 10mil in the bank which should see me good to buy most of the DLC cars when i get around to it.

Didn't buy any for season mode, but started buying some for online play and time trials when the gifted cars just weren't up to the job.

Got the m5 now, just started season 3. Got 340k in the bank. What would you buy in Class A? need high top speed and quick handling also!

I don't buy cars for single player much. Mainly buy for drifting and for cars that I want out of choice, even if they aren't competetive or needed.

I've given up tuning cars for classes tbh. I just make cars for fun, lik my fiat 131, not competative, but 181bhp and no weight its just so much fun!

Ditto for my 280bhp turbo MX-5 and my 947BHP R33 Skyline!

im similar to you... i find B class racing online is the closest. so i have bought about 30-40 cars and tuned them B class but not bother with any setup... yeah i loose.. but who cares sometimes i win and it makes it all the more fun.

My current favorite cars are: Aston DB5 and Jag E-type both are suprisingly competitive at b class..

I have had great fun tuning up light grippy cars for the lower class fujimi kaido hill climbs anddownhills - the leaderboard spread here means a good lap in a not so good car can still hit high up (most cars built sensibly for the track can get into the top 100, and quite a few could do top 10 with a very nice lap). I shall be putting a few of the setups to in my storefront for small fees, because i simply cannot afford to build any more!
Th fiat 131 is a wonderful car - full width slicks and a roll cage make it pretty good on downhill tracks, though i just went sideways all the way up the hill climb
