Odd one last night, and the first time it's really happened to me in quite a lot of play.

Playing quite well (for me, very well - I finished 20:4, which is almost unheard of) and switching between my silent class (ACR+Silencer, Ninja/Coldblooded) and Heavy (LMG with scope/HB sensor). The other team (one guy in particular) were proponents of the run and gun ethos....

...which meant repeatedly running in the open at an elevated position containing someone with superior firepower who knew you were coming. Apparently this is "camping" and my parents sexual abilities were questioned in the post game lobby.

Additionally, my opponent frowned upon my hiding in the corner when I could hear him coming and shooting him as he ran past.

My favourite kill was after killing him from the same location quite a few times, I then placed a sentry gun there and wandered off elsewhere. He respawned, ran exactly the same route through the map and was mown down by said sentry gun. Twice.

Muppet.

Good work, I never understand why people get annoyed at anyone who isn't running around like a headless chicken, surely part of the fun is that some like to hide out and some like to be Rambo.

Sounds like he could have easily thrown a grenade at you from some distance away and stopped getting picked off

A group of Pher's including myself were in a lobby with a bunch of campers (the hiding round corner type of player), so we then took up defensive positions at teh clock tower (this was Karachi btw). We were still out in the open, as all got shot from tie to time.

We managed to turn a defecit of 1200-3700 to 7500-7100, needless to say they weren't happy at all, we thought it was brilliant.

This is why the mute function is so handy! I was holding a building in Underpass and had Claymores planted at both entrances, and was running to and fro, replanting Claymores with Scavenger as necessary. Each time they just ran in past the Claymores and I finished them off if need be. All they needed to do was equip UAV Jammer, or throw an FB, or just check the entrances, so it's hardly my fault if they're rubbish!

I also find I'm accused of having a modded controller quite a bit, just because I can fire the semi-auto weapons (handguns, FAL, etc) quickly. It's not exactly difficult to do, as you just balance the trigger to and fro the 'biting point'.

I thought that's how everyone played FPSs, I certainly have since Goldeneye. I guess they just hold down the trigger and expect it to fire as quickly as someone rapidly pressing and releasing it.

Well quite. Grenade would have flushed me out. I'd probably have just gone for the "Hmm, everytime I go that way I get slotted by a bloke in that room over there. I shall therefore go the other way and avoid him".

i am no great shakes on the game but over the weekend playing domination on derail, I held the base with the petrol station.I had great fun with cold blooded, ninja and a silenced Scar going 23 - 3.
These guys kept doing the same pattern and attacking on their own, being careful and quiet round the carriages, I had a field day.
with my ppk silenced as well I ran out of ammo and still kept up my streak.
after the game I endured loads of stick about being a camper, cheating and being sneaky and not in the spirit of the game!?
just because I choose to score points helping my team defending a base rather than run arround, I still consider that team play.

Got a message from someone very irrate saying something like "you fking camping noob - go fk yourself" or something similar. The funiest thing was I wasn't camping, i was running around like a headless chicken like I normally do.

I sent the guy back an invite to be friends... he didn't take me up on the offer hehe

It's amazing how not running at LMG fire prolongs your life...

I get this often. Trouble is, they don't expect a response, and they can't deal with the response when it comes.

I had a guy on my team the other night who started shoutig at me to get out of the way even though I wasn't near hi
!
Then he ran round knifing me but as it was demo it did nothing, so I put my headset on called him a stupid and that he wanted to get a life which shocked him quite a bit he said "sorry mate" then stopped being a knob, all really rather confusing

For the past few weeks, I've been knifing only. Marathon, Lightweight and Commando, all Pro, with a Tac Knife and Throwing Knife.

It's so fun when someone's spraying at you then you sprint towards them and stab them hehe

Yep, I had a nice long message from someone accusing me of camping before now, with some choice words thrown in... But then I accused him of cheating (aimbot) and he left the server...... biggrin

Some people cannot accept that you can be better/luckier than them.. Some people cannot accept that now and again you can just randomly lob a grenade and get a kill........ It takes a few grenades thrown, BUT every now and again it pays off...

I did have a kiddy on my team a few nights ago who obviously wanted my vantage point. Rather than communicating this normally along the lines of "chappy, you have an Uzi, I have a LMG, perhaps I should guard this long corridor", he chose to simply stand in front of me and jump up and down.

If a "camper" kills me I will keep trying to kill him regardless of how many times I die. I kind of think payback can be fun it is a game after all. nuts

on haloce, had some guys camp the spawn point as some guy on the team was camping them earlier, eventually got kicked for swearing too much, apparently it was an ethical christian server or something
