COD1 vs COD2

Has anyone gone back to COD1 like me? I just couldnt get into COD2 - mostly due to getting slaughtered by 12 year old Americans who've clearly somehow sheated - so I've gone back to good ol' COD1...

Yep I am getting a bit fed up of MW2 playing a bit of WaW zombies at the moment. I like playing MW2 when it is all PH people on my team but it gets annoying on my own. Also bought the first Modern Warfare so I can play that again.

Hmmf, I thought this was actually going to be about COD1 and 2 since 1 came out on the marketplace.

It's a bit pants actually but COD2 still rules! And there are no kids playing it anymore, just more serious gamers.

I rarely got camped into oblivion on 1 unlike 2.

I knew ALL the camping spots, and how to get a grenade/tube into them.

With 2 people can be almost anywhere!

I cant stand running and gunning, seems so unskilled to me, much prefer setting up camp and picking planks with shotguns off from half a mile away...




obviously its all make believe and as a grown adult I dont take it that seriously....honest....

see, wheras I like movin around the edge of a map harassing snipers. Ninja stylz. Hardcore, Silenced FAL, FMJ. Double-tap death.

Some proper stupid spawn points on 2 tho.

That reminds me there seemed to be loads of time where I or other people would spawn directing in front of opposition - never really happens a lot on MW1

I went back to it briefly the other day, MW2 is without a doubt a step forwards in terms of graphics and movement etc.

I played MW1 until 10th prestige and way beyond, but got owned by people with the M sniper rifle with acog.

Still prefer MW1. And i'm starting to play it a lot more again, no bullst, just good fun.

COD1 & the United Offense expansion was, and still is the best/ most pure shooter in the series.


Maybe it was the weapons in the game....but it took more skill to play that game 'Well' than in any of the recent games.


The series has turned into a 'run & gun' style game online now, more a kin to UT. The original was much better with gameplay and map types, more a kin to a CS:s (with a bit of battlefield thrown in with the UO expansion).



Brilliant game...and a reason why I have gone of the COD series completely.....as none of the recent games have even come close to mathcing the pure fun of the first one.

Cant remeber its name... its an M2430 or something like that. I know I am probably way off.

Its the first rifle you get, single shot etc.

That ACOG on a sniper rifle is ridiculous - doesnt seem to need to be anywhere near you to take you down.

apparently in spring there will be a map pack with mw1 revised levels released on mw2 and then after that an all new map pack for mw2.
