Playing old games online - BF43, COD2 etc

Not been a huge fan the BF series really but I downloaded BF43 when it came out, played it for a few weeks and didn't touch it again until last night.

It's much much better than I remember.

I love playing older games online, the main reason seems to be that the players tend to be a bit more serious. The kids are always playing the latest novelty (MW2 just now it would appear). COD2 still has a big online following with mostly serious gamers, people who actually want to play with team tactics.

It's far more enjoyable IMHO.

Anyone else find this?

BF 1943 is probably the best one yet on the consoles. I actually enjoyed playing this much more than BF BC 1. However, BF BC 2 looks and seems quite good.

I enjoy the 'pick up and play' style of 1943 and like the fact that it was a smallish and not too expensive download on my XBOX.

I am hoping that BF2:BC won't attract the cheating little gits that inhabit MW2.. I guess I will find out when it is released.

I still regularly play COD UO online as there is still a hardcore of guys playing that. If you want to give it a go I recommend GITS capture the flag server. You will find me there most nights as Loader.
