Quick xbox 360 elite HDMI question

Can i use a standard HDMI cable to connect my elite to the TV?

i thought i'd just go component now, but the elite just has standard component, not HDTV???

can i not use my old xbox HD component cable then?

Yup, HDMI will carry both image and sound to your telly in up to 1080p. Best way to connect it if you can.
Other than that component will do 720p HD definately, not sure if it will do 1080p.
Either way, the digital cable is the one to go for.

Component cable does 1080p also.

No real reason to choose digital over component I don't think. There is no discernable difference.

There is with my TV. HDMI gives a better picture with both in 1080p, which is annoying because I wanted to use the component for the sound.
