I can't for the life of my control the Helicopters with the kb/m so I would like to buy and use the Xbox 360 Controller to control the helicopter. Can anybody confirm if this works? The game has an option for joysticks and the 'Xbox 360 Controller for Windows' is a standard joystick so I would expect it to.

Any experiences with this?

As far as I know, so long as you get a wired controller it should plug and play as a PC controller, and be customisable etc.

All the PC nerds will have a go at you for shunning the 'best controller set up ever' of keyboard and mouse though.

Cheers. Don't get me wrong, I'm in no way suggesting that I'll be using the KB/M for 'on foot' stuff. I'll just switch to the joypad for flying the heli.

Everyone knows... KB/M FTW

You will need a usb bluetooth adaptor for your pc...the cable for the pad is for charging only on genuine microsoft game pads....dunno about the cheapo wired pads

Would be interested to know if you get it sorted out.

I'm referring to this controller btw. I thought they were the same, just branded differently but I might be wrong.

Oh, and the Xbox doesn't use Bluetooth, it's a proprietary wireless system so a wireless controller definitely won't work frown

Ok, I had read otherwise.....I know you can get the controller sdk so wonder if there are any drivers out there. I have noticed that the controller doesn't show up on my wireless network which helped make the bluetooth thing more believable....

Plugged my wired 360 controller in there, it does work, but it looks like you'll need to map the keys yourself.

Brilliant, thanks for that! Just to confirm. the joysticks work correctly and you reckon it's just a case of mapping the buttons to the keys (which you can surely do in the game)?

Only the horizontal axis worked for me, i.e: Left stick functioned perfectly, right stick did nothing. Had to press the start button to shoot as well! Just had a look at the forums and it looks like people are actually having issues unbinding and remapping the keys to the controller. Worth having a look about for a fix though.
