MW2 or BFBC2, which do you prefer?

As per the title really, which do you prefer out of the two games and why?

I bought BFBC2 a few weeks ago and am already bored of it. I know it's a better squad based game and i have played a few games with some of the guys on here but unless you are playing with people you know i don't think it comes anywhere near close to MW2.

It doesn't look as good, the vehicles are good but there are too many tts taking them and doing nothing with them. I also don't think there is a good enough variety of game modes and maps.

What does everyone else think?

I find battlefield more of a challenge than COD as I am crap at it. But I'm not sure I actually find it that fun. I will only play it when there a few others from here online as unless you have a good squad then it is pretty futile game. On cod you can have 2 good players and win If you do your part.

They also need to sort out the game modes etc. It just gives the same map 4 times in a row and doesn't switch game modes even if you set to either.

I also hate how almost every person in every game is a sniper.

What I do lie however is the different aspects like medics, engineers etc.

I'm only playing this at the moment as I'm pretty bored of COD having played it to death but If it comes to it I think I will still be playing cod in a couple of months. I don't think I can say the same for battlefield.

Battlefield.

Helichopters, tanks, squad play, rush. So much more fun. Being able to change your weapons during the game, the different classes.

Really enjoyed BF2 on the PC years ago and this is nearly as good.

Battlefield is good and came at the right time. Decent first person shooter that look and plays much like COD. COd is a more frantic game and therefore more arcadey and possibly fun.

I got bored of COD and the glitching cheating that has plagued it from day one. However I will buy the new maps and give it a go this week.

Battlefield in a group game is brilliant. But they do need more maps and game modes. I absolutely hate sniping in COD but it is the first classes I maxed out in Battlefield because it was more fun with the bigger maps.

I was thinking if only there were a mixture of the two eg..a game with tanks on large maps that plays like COD....oooh hang on a bit like COD5 Waw. Which is and was a fking awesome game.

Haven't played the new BF yet but I played BF1942:DC a few years back so I know what to expect. Very good games but as mentioned, unless you have a good team you get hammered. Sometimes it's good just to play for yourself in FFA.

I'm still totally addicted to MW2, I don't think I've played another game since I got it over Christmas. Unlocking things and trying to get the killstreaks gives it high replay value for me.

That was one of the main reasons i bought BFBC2, i loved that game but i don't think this is as good. That and the fact one of my mates was telling me how good it is and to get it then two days later we're both back on COD!

I concur with what southendqueer says. World at war is a better game than both of them.

BC2 for me mainly dur to the fact I enjoy being a support role rather than a one man warrior. If you have a fellow good assaulter you can actually make him/her more effective ratherthan just providing more bullets in the air.

I had a message from someone yesterday telling me I should get BFBC2 as I'd never play CoD again. Wonder who that was?

I will try it when I get the chance. Used to play Battlefield on the PC many years ago and that was always great fun if you had a few mates online.

plus you don't need 6 shots to kill anyone in this game

Are you playing normal core? Takes ages to shoot anyone. Also hardcore on cod was one shot with nearly every gun.

6 shots? You're doin' it wrong. Even with a silenced AR from long range it doesn't take me six (normal mode, not Noobcore).

I find BFBC2 is way too hard to get into. I think if I were a sad, lonely nerd sitting at home alone all night, I could get into BFBC2. COD MW is easier to pick up and go with, returning more pleasure for less investment.

Will probably sell my BFBC2 disk.

Both are good, was on BFBC:2 for ages and bloody well enjoyed it. Gone back to MW2 for a bit and i'm enjoying it more than before.

I was about to go and buy BFBC2 this week, but after this I'm not so sure, I love MW2, always play HC (alot less glitchers) and normally have a great laugh, occasionally you bump into a tt but if they are that bad I drop out, if they are just trying to 'rank up' with one of my teammates, I just dump the object of the game and concentrate on hunting the pair down, actually puts a great twist on the game sometimes

I went out and bought BFBC2 and played it for abit and then i went straight back to MW2 and havent played BFBC2 since,
The graphics are poor and the game is clunky and its full of snipers, there are way less modes and its quite easy, and people have started boosting on BFBC2 aswell i mate of mine caught people who were medics killing one another and them reviving them too get more points.
As for MW2 glitchers after 11 days of play i have only ever seen 2 people gliching, you do get boosters now and then but i enjoy hunting them down and ruining there killstreaks!

BC2 for me.

My only real complaint about it is the amount of shots it takes to kill someone in non-hardcore mode.
