PS3 Turtle Beach on the Cheap

Some of you guys may know this but I only just tried this for first time tonight.

As most of you know you can't put the audio through a USB headset on the PS3 .. has to be voice channel only.

Well by using USB PC Audio adapter and plugging a standard Headset mic input into it you can combine the two.

Steps

1) Plug USB adapter into PS3 - Mic Jack from PC headset into it.
2) Plug HeadPHONE jack into either TV Headphone out or Amp Headphone out.
3) IN accesories set Audio Devices to,
Input:USB Adapter - Output:System Default (I.e The speakers)

Bingo Voice and Game Audio in Headset and Mic from Headset also working using USB Adapter.

All sounds good but aren't Turtle beach 5.1 surround? Or have I dreamt that?

Some of them are yes. But I dont think the PS3 PX21's are ... but I am now wondering if you can get a TOC headset and apply same theory.
