Xbox wheel trouble

Hi guys,
Having a bit of trouble with the official xbox steering wheel. I wanted to play Forza but the wheel keeps turning left/right constantly. The actual wheel itself will stay straight but if i was racing on the game the car would go constantly left/right no matter how hard i try to keep it straight.
Anyone had any similar trouble? I cant seem to find much online.
I have tried the basics: reseting the wheel, reconnecting it to the xbox. I have even tried adjusting the deadzones but to no avail.
