New WRC game 2010

I'd heard some wispers that a new WRC game was being released this year. The game website has a release date of Septemer, but no other information. I found this paragraph in the interent that only hints and what will be in the game

WRC 2010 / WRC 2011 is a new rally sim, planned to be released in 2010 on multiple platforms. The game will be published by Milan-based Black Bean Games and developed by Milestone, having obtained the official WRC license. The game will be fully iOpener enabled; a technology that will allow you to race against real drivers within the sim. The winner of the virtual game will also be given an official trophy from the FIA at the same time the real-life WRC champion is crowned. It has been confirmed the game will include all the cars and tracks from the 2010 season, and live on-board camera footage can/will be integrated into the live game-play experience.

I'd like to get excited, but the lack of teams and drivers in this years championship, not to mention the tiny stages means I feel that this game could be a bit st. I hope not though, because the old WRC games from earlier this century where very good.

Any other rumours and whisperings you've heard?

Totally agree, not much fun if there are only two manufacturers in the game...

I am sure that will not be the case however.

What would be amazing is the ability to select different time periods, 60's, 70's, Group B in the 80's. That would be some game.

Richard Burns Rally is still the daddy, check online Virtualr.net for teh RBR 2009 addon which lets you frive lots more cars, an excellent addon.
