Xbox live - anyone having probs at the minute?

So, just got home with a shiny new TV, a copy of Red Dead Redemtion, and I've got it all setup and raring to go.

Can't seem to connect with xbox live though, there's internet connection, it's in a DMZ, and everything else is tickety boo (router etc), so I'm presuming there's something wrong their end?

My gold subscription has run out, surely it couldn't be that else I'd not be able to renew via the marketplace as I normally do?

All is fine and dandy here...

I presume you've tried the turn everything off and on again fix?

Also if you go to the network settings and test connection to Xbox Live at what point is it failing there?

Gotcha, I'm guessing it doesn't like my DNS settings or something then... shall have to investigate.

xbox 360 - fine
network - fine
internet - fine
xbox live - not fine indicated with a big red X.

Just says 'your console is connected to the internet but can't connect to the internet.

oops, scratch that, now it's saying it's a DNS problem, which is odd. Hmmm
