Jungle/Soviet/Nuclear Strike

Downloaded the former onto my HTC Desire and remembered what a wonderful game this was. EA Arts did a good job with this one.

I'm going hunting in the loft when I get home from work in search of my PS One to try and track down the copy of Nuclear Strike.

Why haven't there been any more games like this recently? Sort of like a command and conquer type view, but just controlling the helicopter? It seems nowadays everything is based on a FPS, it would be great to see a return to something different.

Need to find that bloody playstation!

Played them all, loved them. Cant really think of any modern games that are similar which is a shame.

Where did you get it from for android? You can easilly get all the old strike games running on various emulated devices with some googling. Classic.

Only had Nuclear strike on my PSX

Always went back to play the mission where you have to position allied tanks on the roads to stop the ROK forces in the DMZ.

Never got bored of it.

Emudroidlite app which lets you download a lot of games for NES,SNES, Mega Drive, Gameboy and GBA. Free version has everything you need, you have to pay to be able to save the games.

Bit annoying in that the controller is on the screen, but it works reasonably well. If only there was a little bluetooth controller you could buy it would make it ten times better. Does anyone know of such a thing?

You forgot the first one, desert strike on the Megadrive. They where awesome games.

I have the "Strike" games on my PSP, I think "Urban Strike" was the first I bought back in the old days of the Mega Drive, loved it

I got Jungle Strike on my netbook now which should keep me entertained for the flight to the States in a couple of weeks.

Just need Nuclear Strike now. Anyone know a good place to get it from?

how cool was the hovercraft on level 2. and the stealth jet that was hard to handle. turbo controler always helped with epic chain gunning!!

Never put Desert Strike down. Nuclear Strike was good too though. What was Jungle Strike on? Don't think I played that one. SNAFU Return to base!

After seeing this thread I found out that Desert Strike / Nuclear Strike where put on a Compilation for the PSP called EA Replay. Found it last night! Works well on PSP.

Doesn't seem like I can get it on a Mac, gutted!

There was a game like this on the Amiga, set around Island groups with a more gritty futuristic feel to it. It had very short draw distances with a black background. At the time I remember it being super slick with great physics. Anyone remember what it was called?

Doesn't use helicopters, but there is always mechcommander 1 and 2? I'm playing MC2 at the moment, it's a lot of fun.

From your description it seems you are referring to Zeewolf or Zeewolf 2.
