XBOX 360 Dashboard question

I wonder if anyone can help. I replaced my 360 ages ago due to the 3 rings of death, but obviously kept my hard drive. Ever since I can't work out how to get it to have my profile signed in when I switch it on. Every time I fire it up I have to go through the rigmarole of signing in to my profile, no I know you can't connect to xbox live, yes I will check my connection, just sign me in FFS!

It's very frustrating, I had a couple of profiles but I've deleted all but one, and I've scoured the settings but to no avail.

go to My Xbox > then to your gamertag > Profile > Auto Sign-in > enable

Press the guide button, then go to the settings tab and choose preferences. Somewhere in there is the auto sign in option IIRC

I have spent ages looking, but then on the other hand I am a bit of a div. I've been looking at console settings, didn't even think about pressing the guide button. Cheers guys!!
