If you are on the auction house on Forza Motorsport 3 can you use a DLC car if you buy it from the auction house but dont have it downloaded?

You can buy it at auction but cannot use it till you buy the DLC. I bought loads before I realised

No, you have to have the DLC pack to use any cars contained within it.
You could download the free car pack though.

From each of the DLC packs, there is one free car available from each.
Have a look on the Marketplace.

If you are only just starting out ie never bought any DLCs, then you are better off buying the new Forza Ultimate Collection (£18 from play or amazon) it includes ALL the DLC packs, which is about 80+ extra cars and a few tracks too.
