Decent wheel/pedals for PS3

Now that GT5 has an official (hopefully) release date, I quite fancy getting a steering wheel/pedal combo for the PS3.

Would be looking to spend ~100 quid on one.

Logitechs' Driving Force GT looks to be the best for the price, but i've been reading reviews about how saving up for a G25? is a better option, (clutch pedal etc).

Anyone got a DF GT that would like to share their opinion?

I had a G25, it was well made, but the gearshift was HORRIBLE. There are a lot of mods you can do to them though, so if I was in the market, I'd probably go for one.

I personally use the Fanatec Porsche wheel, I love it.

I have the DF GT. Everyone says the G25/27 are much better, but are also much more expensive. I have tried both (DF GT and G25) and I bought the DF GT and spent the change on the wife.

I bought one recently and it's absolutely fine, does the job well as far as I can tell. Supports 900 degree mode on games that support it (GT4 for example). It's well put together and feels solid. For the money I'd say it's spot on.
The only gripe I have is that it's not particularly usable on your lap, I'm going to have to buy a stand as well.

I have a DF GT and its been fine so far. Tried it on F1 2010 and so much more control than with a pad. Spot on with Gran turismo prologue too. Never used a G25 but having just turned 40, I found it hard trying to justify spending 80 quid on a plastic steering wheel and pedals as it was. Don't think Mrs H was too impressed either.

The G25 and G27 are mostly metal

I have a G25, and just bought a G27. Both are great. If you're on a budget, look for a 2nd hand Driving Force Pro, or the DF GT which is a newer version of the former.

They're all great wheels, with very similar internals.

I second this, if you want more speed on the straights go for the Black and Decker work bench.

i picked up a logitech driving force pro for £50 off ebay. Its ideal, didnt fancy paying 300 for a new top of the range wen this 1 does everything just fine

Having played and installed add-ons for Sports Car GT, Grand Prix Legends, GT Legends and RFactor for many years our home PC (6 years old) has finally cried enough and we're looking to upgrade. Having looked at various specs (keen to run F1 2010 for my 2 sons) it's either buy a high-spec gaming PC or buy a mid-range PC and dedicated games console for about the same price. We've decided to go the latter route and have just ordered a PS3 320GB and Gran Turismo 5 package from Play.

To be honest I'm looking forward to a much simpler/more straightforward race gaming experience, just load the disc and play. Probably spent too much time in the past adding the latest mod/track/car/download etc on the PC - just playng the game should be much better.

My only question concerns wheels, can anyone recommend a simple wi-fi steering wheel that can be easily played from the comfort of your armchair. Pedals and FF optional not essential. Don't want a load of wires trailing across the living room!
