So i'm thinking of buying a wheel but how have you guys got yours setup?

And will I enjoy it more than I do with a pad?

I have a Logitech G25 and built a wooden race seat/frame affair. I will take some pics when I get back home in the next couple of days. Its still unfinished, just needs painting and a few minor adjustments, buts its pretty solid and a perfect driving posistion smile

Was on a modified G25.. then bought a G27, and now waiting on a Fanatec GT3 RS to arrive too.

Logitech Driving Force GT, Black & Decker workmate, folding garden chair - a long way from what I'd actually like but it nearly works. I need a better wheel stand but the chair can stay for now.

I've just bought one of these from Ikea...

Decent size, pretty sturdy and only a tenner! Bargain of the century! biggrin

It's really a computer desk (so has a void down the back for cables) but fits the DFP I have perfectly fine, just need to wean myself off the DS3 and onto the wheel - it's a bit of a step since I've only ever played racing games seriously with a gamepad (be that GT on the PS/PS2/PSP/PS3) or FM2/3 on the 360! Takes some getting used to the wheel, despite having had my grown ups driving licence for the past 12 years!!

Vision racer with a g25 in a very messy room. Fabric used for the seat very cheap almost like felt, a bit creaky sometimes other than that its quite good.

Yeah, I find it pretty low but no one else seems to be having a problem. It's kind of like driving an S2000...

I use a Logitech Driving Force GT, as it's the only wheel which allows you to access the in car menu for tweaking the setup mid-race. It's attached to a GameRacer Elite chair, which is hight adjustable, although I have it in the lowest "single seater" setting.

1080p TV up in the games room, but I sometimes take the PS3 downstairs to play it on my 3D TV in the living room, which is pretty cool thumbup

Oh and the cat finds the seats as comfy as I do, so sometimes there's a short fight over who gets to use it....

I would pay good money to see a picture of you playing the game with your helmet on!
