PS3 Grief Report WTF???
Discussion
I've just noticed this mail I got today. Yes I've sent PLLLLENTY of offensive messages to cheating rotten scumbags on COD but I honestly can't remember sending an abusive messages to any randomers that might have taken offence yesterday. Unless it's flagging up EVERYONE'S mail being sent with swear words automatically? Has anyone else recieved such mail?

Don't know how the PS Network operates, but don't respond to cheaters, boosters or abusive people (breaking the T&C of use) by swearing at them (also breaking the T&C of use). Use the Black Ops reporting system and the PSN reporting system.
Treyarch say they're bringing the banhammer down on boosters (many of the people who shot to the top of the leaderboards are no longer there), and they're currently handing out bans for swastikas in playercards (Microsoft are backing it up with XBL bans too).
Don't fight fire with fire - if you must send a message, keep the language clean (even if insulting them), and just hope karma and the reporting system come together to deliver justice.

To be fair, Black Ops is an 18 game, so surely offensive emblems should be allowed within a certain boundary? Its not my fault if little Timmy doesn't like my emblem because it depicts adult stuff. He shouldn't be playing the game.
oh thought it was about abuse not emblems, you hit the nail on the head there norbsI reported you pazz for sexual emails
Ive not had that message and i often send people message telling them what i would like to do to there mum, BUT i never start the argument i get abuse first and then i reply.
I did have a message the other day of someone who said that they have reported me for my emblem even tho as norbury stated its an 18 year old game. And i replied to there message by telling them to f
k off and do you think I'm bothered by you reporting me.

There isn't an issue with emblems unless they have racist or broadly offensive connotations - as you have said, it is an 18 game. The PSN/XBox messaging and profile services are open though, and subject to more restrictions on language and content, regardless of what game you are playing. For interest, here's XBL's Stephen Toulouse's blog on the issue of playercards http://www.stepto.com/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=635

I've scanned through my mail and defo no abusive on that day. The only 1 I could see was titled "Fancy a 1vs1 f u k around", so at a guess they've flagged up a mail I sent to a friend... muppets.
