MW2 COD - Hackers

Not been on for a while, turned it on last night and every room had a cheater (someone who had hacked the game) in it.

Do you think the makers have made there money and don't care anymore ?

Ever since release they have been too busy having an argument with Activision.

They still haevn't fixed the 'magic rock' in the fuel level.

I don't understand the type of person who thinks its fun to sit inside a rock for 10 mins (however long a round is) shooting at passers by, I'd find that boring.

Just means half a pretty decent map doesn't get used.

I was in a search and distroy game, everyone else killed apart from me and a 'Hacker on the other team.
It was in Rundown, so a big map.

He threw his knife nearly half the map and it got me..



Had a Team Death Match, and 3 players (1 on my team) had over a 100 kills and under ten deaths. (Everyone else was about the right number of kills)



The game (I think) is still a good/great game, just needs the cheaters booted.

Treyarch get so much stick for their versions of COD, yet THEY FIX BUGS, they ban cheaters, they do 'double xp weekends'.

I'm not buying another Infinity Ward version, Black Ops is fantastic, MW2 sums up how little IW give a toss.

Im enjoying playing Black Ops but they really need to fix the bugs on the PS3.

I've played my fair share of MW2, and yes, you do get your fair share of 'dubious' players on PS3 but nothing out of the ordinary. It's not like every game is ruined by it, in my experience, and much of it is down to lag or hosting bias IME.
For example, the few times I've racked up 20+ kill streaks I have been the host.
Just my experience, I do play hardcore only, but I would have thought that would make it easier for hackers due to the lack of killcams.

Yes, but Treyarch are responding to bugs - they have just reset a raft of players who used an XP hack to get 15th Prestige. You'll now notice loads of people with the 15th prestige playercard background, but busted back to starting rank - the message boards are now full of people pleading to Treyarch 'I was in a modded lobby and I didn't know please don't ban/reset my rank!'

It takes about 10-12 days of game time, even if you are good, to reach 15th Prestige. If you see someone who is 15th, look at their combat record. If they have only a few days playing and a crap K/D ratio, chances are they've cheated - report 'em.

Like MW2, I'm not prestiging - not worth the grind just for some weapon slots and gold camos. It's more fun destroying the opposition who think that prestige = talent, and hearing their excuses or watch them rage quit.
