i'm currently on level 29, trying fruitlessly to get to level 30 to unlock the vettel challenge....how hard is it? and do you need to get all golds to get the car, or will bronzes do?

in arcade mode, if you go into time trial and select la sarthe change weather/time you don't select how many laps...so how long is it until it goes dark? why can't you do the change weather/time races in 2 player mode?

i'm sure i have more questions but this is enough for now!

cheers chaps,

Ross.

Get bronze in all three races and you get the Redbull coloured (S.Vettel version)
Get Silver in all three races and you get the X2010 in a random colour (there are about 20) + the prize for bronze
Get Gold in all three races and you get the X2010 in prototype naked Carbon + the prize for Silver and Bronze

Like these...

X2010 S.Vettel Version...

X2010 Single colour...

X2010 Prototype...

(Not there myself yet, I got these through trading on GT Planet though)

It's about 10 minutes for a track to go dark on arcade mode.

So, if you manage to get gold you'll get 3 of them?

I can't see it being an easy challenge!!

neither can i. looking on youtube, the difference between gold and bronze isn't much at all. usually, it's quite big, making bronze absolute piss easy, but this, over a couple of minutes it's only a few seconds off gold.

that said, a few seconds in this red bull thing is a very, very long way.... it's fking mentally quick!!

another question

with the race cars which already have fully customisable transmission, why the fk can't you alter the individual gear ratios? all you can do is basically the differential (effectively). is this the case if you buy a fully customisable transmission for a road car? it seems stupid to me. GT4 and GT5p had the ability to change individual ratios.....

thanks

Only bought fully customisable trans for 1 road car and found the same thing. Can only alter final drive ratio, not individual gears which annoyed me considerably considering what it cost.

I can only hope that reaching a higher level fully unlocks it.

i'm on level 30 and still nothing....

really annoying in cars like the F2007 and polyphony....1st gear goes to approx 40mph and 2nd up to 60-70mph ish. i'd just have 1st going to 60mph and the others to reach top speed, you never use 1st otherwise....
