i think we're all pretty respectful of what is acceptable and what is not in terms of contact, if you punt someone off the track and you know you are at fault then man up and let them rejoin in front of you, it's a good way of saying sorry we want to avoid people getting taken off and getting wound up as much as possible as it ruins the game, going at 8/10ths rather than 10/10th is a good idea, especialy at the first corner! it will happen of course but lets try
Corner cutting with 2 wheel still on track is allowed as is the occasional mistake but consistent corner cutting to gain a timing advantage will fall to the voting hammer of the other players and a review of replay (which will be saved after each race)

ps - I think the unstable network is something we are just going to have to live with tbo, we are all in the same boat in terms of having trouble connecting, if someone is trying to get on we can always delay for 5mins to help, i will have my laptop to hand as many of you do, so posting on PH or IM? any suggestions?

best start a list of entrants then, we can add the cars to the list once you've chosen, I will go with 1 x car and the option to change ONCE as I think it'll make more of the wet track session, some will lean toward 4wd for the 2nd race etc and it means the CSL will not dominate
by the way guys you need to vote for 6 tracks not sure how you can do that now though as I think you can only vote once
we'll need at least 10 people to make a go of things but looking good

Yup, in for this. However Sunday is not a good night for me (pub quiz night )
I would prefer Sarthe 2005 with chicanes to allow some overtaking on an otherwise boring track. Not sure about Top Gear track, I think London, Rome or Madrid will be better.
Happy with no TC. Wet second race may result in carnage, our races already have a fair amount of contact in them not matter how hard we try. I say we try wet races out of the championship a bit and see how they go.
400/1200 format is okay but how about we set it as bhp/ton limit to really spice it up? 333 bhp/ton so people can use their existing 400/1200 cars, and if we ran 2 cars per player we can each choose a combo of cars that suits our style and that we think will cover the different circuits on the calendar. For instance circuits like Sarthe require top end power whereas London does not.
I'd love to have a 800kg Elise with 266bhp for instance, or maybe an even lighter car with even less horsepower like the TommyK ZZ-S. This will be hard to police but I hope everyone could play fair.
ETA: PSN ID is MSTRBKR_ (with one underscore)
And also, Fuji Speedway is st.

I'm up for this, it's generally good racing in the PH rooms (apart from the first corner pummeling that seems obligatory). I still think full damage makes better sim drivers of everyone, rather than arcade drivers, but I know some aren't keen, so not worried either way.
I'd love to see Rome circuit in the mix up there, as it's a very unforgiving circuit with no corners that can be cut - and one of the only ones that I'm competitive on :-)

I'll put myself down as a reserve driver, I have a terrible broadband connection so usually drop out during races but I'll happily make up the numbers if you're short of drivers some nights.

Unfortunately there's no way my shift pattern would allow me to compete but I'd enjoy dropping in a bit as available.
