GT5 - PH Touring Car Championship

As spawned from the b-team thread, here are the (semi) official rules for the touring car races.

This race series will be a little more serious than the b-team, but not as serious as the a-team. Initially it will probably just be a bunch of people who like racing touring cars working out the best grouping of cars, so if you want to race touring cars stick your name down.

Rules:
Tyres: Racing hards
Driver aids: No driving line, no ASR, no skid recovery

Races:
3-5 laps depending on course, no pit stops

Circuits:
All

Cars:
There will be 2 groups of cars

1) Low power - Cars such as the Subaru advan imprezza. Approx 350bhp / 1000kgs (TBC).
2) High power - Full on touring cars / DTM / JDM cars such as Audi A4. Any where up to 650bhp and 1100kgs

Tuning will be unlimited up to the HP limit. If we find certain cars are unbeatable then they will be excluded (I've a feeling the NSX's won't be in for long)

Yeeeeeeees i'm up for this. Just checked my lower spec cars and they are around 320-330bhp with an oil change, so perhaps the limit should be at 350bhp for those. I also reckon that all aids should be off apart from ABS, but I dunno if thats too strict for you, its your series, your choice.

Oh, and that HKS C230R or whatever it is has about 570bhp or something, it won't be falling into the lower spec! I'm sure it will be obvious which cars go in which category though.

Ah cool, I assumed it was going to be a fully organised championship with set race dates etc which I can't really commit to, but ad hoc I'm definitely up for.

The BMW GTR race car is worth adding to the list, its in the same ballpark as JGTC cars etc
