Completed it on the PC - was great fun and, as is very rare for me, if I had'nt recently become a father and lost all my free time would give it another run through as a woman next time (.)(.)

It's splendid if you like RPGs, shooting and space opera.

Loved Fallout so should be good - can't make up my mind whether to play on PC or 360 though.

Just wondered what people's thoughts were on this? I've not got on with Fallout New Vegas (limited time to play, and found the start a bit boring), yet have read very good reviews about this, and it looks a bit more action based, so is it worth it? Or would Killzone 3 be more down my street?

Have only played ME2 on the PC, but its a great game- really good action, and the roll play is more "action" based- for me it was more like a first person shooter with some RPG bits bolted on rather than the other way round.

love some of the back stories- you even get to shag your crew which is most amusing biggrin

If you play the first one, then you can import your character!

I bought ME1, but never really played it. ME2 however, is one of my top games of all time. Fantastic to look at, great to play, massively long and fascinating story (inc backstory) and a great feeling when you finish. Best first ten minutes of any game ever, too!

i just completed ME2 and will be doing so again... It's fantastic.

Upon completion my thoughts were "That's it... it's over.." eek That's due to the story, it sucks you in. Wish I'd have played ME1 but I honestly don't think i could play it after the second as certain reveals in ME2 would detract fromt eh richness of ME1.

ME1 is a superior game in terms of story (especially the tough decisions it gives) and RPG elements.

However, the cinematics, action, audio, graphics and overall quality of ME2 just pips it, IMO. As mentioned, it starts of with an aweseome intro and just continues to draw you in, with some of the best characters (Mordin Solus) I've experienced in gaming.

I don't think you'd feel short-changed playing ME1 after ME2, it really is worth it just to get the backstory. Just remember to give it a chance, as the first hour on the Citadel is slow, really picks up once you get on the Normandy.

For those who've already played both games, go on YouTube and view the "Shepard is a Jerk" videos. The ME1 version is especially good.

As an aside, and MINOR SPOILER for those who've not played ME2, any game that talks about inter-species sexual activity and the downsides of "ingesting" in a slightly serious but tongue-in-cheek manner deserves some respect:

Shocking suggestion. Would never dream of....mockery

Just bought this. Wow. What a game! Not my normal type of game, but it's involving and varied. Roll on the weekend so I can have a proper go on it!

ME2 is brilliant, if you haven't got it already it is an absolute steal now too. The only negative things I could say about it is that mining is boring and it is a bit short. Not that it is short compared to 99% of games, it is just so good you want it to go on and on.

ME3 is coming out at the end of this year I believe.
